Affiliations: D. Anne retired from St. Therese Catholic Church located in Parkville, MO in 1986. She was a secretary for the parish of St. Therese for 25 years. She was a lay minister and very active in the nursing home ministry. She led the Legion of Mary at St. Therese for many years. She was a devoted mother to her three children, a devoted grandmother to her eight grandchildren, and her ten great grandchildren.

     Dorothy A. “D. Anne” Woods, 92, was residing with her daughter Kathy in Olathe, KS she was a previous Northland resident, passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 at the Olathe Medical Center.  She was born February 23, 1918 in East St. Louis, IL.  She graduated from St. Francis College in Joliet, IL.

     D. Anne retired from St. Therese Catholic Church located in Parkville, MO in 1986.   She was a secretary for the parish of St. Therese for 25 years.  She was a lay minister and very active in the nursing home ministry.  She led the Legion of Mary at St. Therese for many years.  She was a devoted mother to her three children, a devoted grandmother to her eight grandchildren, and  her ten great grandchildren. 

     D. Anne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James in 1983 and son-in-law, Robert Trout in 2007.  Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Trout of Olathe, KS, and Margy Dwyer and husband, Robert of Overland Park, KS, one son, James R. Woods and his wife, Elaine A. of Lee’s Summit, MO, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

     Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 26th at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW 9 Hwy, Kansas City, MO 64152 with Rev. Michael Roach as Celebrant.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 26, at the St. Therese Catholic Church.  D. Anne will be buried at the Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa, KS.  Contributions are suggested to St. Therese Catholic Church in Parkville, MO or the future Hospice House associated with Olathe Medical Center.  Memories of D.
