Survived By: She is survived by her son Bob (and Maggie) Rowland of Blue Springs; her daughter Linda (and Jim) Rowland Fraas of Peyton, Colorado; 3 grandchildren Daniel (and Jane) Rowland of Ipswich, Massachusetts, Angela Rowland of Porter, Oklahoma, and Shelley Rowland of Chicago, Illinois; 6 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Affiliations: Frances was a homemaker. She was a member of Kellogg Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill where she had served as the nursery attendant for many years.

    Frances Rowland, 88, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Sunday, April 23, 1922 in Paragould, Arkansas, the daughter of E. J. and Mamie (Taylor) Adams.  She departed this life at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.

 

     On June 22, 1942, Frances was united in marriage to Linel Floyd Rowland in Kennet, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on April 27, 2009

 

     Frances was a homemaker.  She was a member of Kellogg Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill where she had served as the nursery attendant for many years.

 

     She was also preceded in death by four brothers Craig Craigmeyer, George Adams, Bill Adams, and Buddy Adams; and two sisters Earline Turner and Jean Rowland.

 

      She is survived by her son Bob (and Maggie) Rowland of Blue Springs; her daughter Linda (and Jim) Rowland Fraas of Peyton, Colorado; 3 grandchildren Daniel (and Jane) Rowland of Ipswich, Massachusetts, Angela Rowland of Porter, Oklahoma, and Shelley Rowland of Chicago, Illinois; 6 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

 

     Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at the funeral home.  Pastor Jim Erickson of the Elm Grove Baptist Church, Bonner Springs will officiate.  Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Casket bearers are Rob Eubanks, Jim Fraas, Stacy Henry, Gary McCarty, Jeremiah McCarty, Wesley Moon, and Bill Seaman.

 

     Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time Wednesday, November 24, 2010.

 

     Memorial contributions are suggested to Kansas City Hospice House and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
